Grasshopper patterns have been around for a very long time with some of the most popular being created by Ed Schenk and Dave Whitlock. The use of various kinds of foam has also gained popularity as tiers strive to build segmented bodies that offer durability and floatability. Our hopper is undoubtedly designed after many “older” patterns. However, our use of foam and hair together to form a “bullethead” is unique and produces a semi-realistic pattern for warm and cold water fish. Our pattern also features a unique underwing material called Web Wing and awesome new rubber legs called Centipede legs. Each kit contains various color materials so you can tie different color Hoppers.
