Adams (Hi-Vis Wing)
$20.00
We believe the traditional Adams was created by Len Halladay and fished by Charles Adams on the Boardman River, in Michigan, initiating its popularity. The original pattern calls for two delicate grizzly hackle tips for wings. However, we have substituted a more modern material called Hi-Vis, which is a water resistant synthetic material.
This is a great dry fly pattern. It can be tied in a vast range of sizes and can be fished in big fast water or small slow pocket water. It can be fished high and dry, in the surface film or even with a dropper nymph beneath it.
Each “Fly-Kit”tm includes:
-
a custom tied fly, carefully packaged in a small plastic box.
-
color, digital, photographs of the tying steps.
-
a letter including material preparation tips & other information.
-
premium hooks in our favorite size.
-
all the necessary materials, hand selected, to tie eleven additional flies.
