Everyone knows what a Lady Bug is! We just didn’t know if fish would eat them or not. In fact, while playing golf one day, we watched birds pick them up and drop them rather than eating them…..so we were convinced something was wrong. The next time we were fishing at our local Trout Club, we tossed a few in and the Rainbows ate them with reckless abandon. Using some techniques stolen from our good friend Bob Mead’s realistic Lady Bug pattern we set out to create a “fishing fly”. The end result is a really cool Lady Bug that catches fish and little kids!
